Perizada
has danced all her life. Classical ballet formed her early training
and performing experience. She ventured into flamenco, and then
finally arrived home in Middle Eastern belly dance, turning professional
in that art in 1992. She was drawn to the dances and music of the
Roma as part of the process of honoring her own imperatives. Her
dance Goddesses, Gods, and Inspirations include Eva Cernik, Dalia Carella, Amaya, Artemis, and Maya Deren.
Perizada has traveled in the Middle East, observing various dance
forms. Her distinctive approach to dance is uniquely honed from
her life experiences and heritage, and is a deep reflection of her
soul. Perizada began exploring hoop dance in 2005. This beautiful, revolving art form blends naturally with dance and creates a completely mesmerizing, unique artistic expression. Sparkly hoops, fire hoops, UV, and LED all contribute to the magic. |
At this time Perizada and drummer Emir are concentrating on open-air, public performances that incorporate innovative drumming concepts, Romani dance forms, and fire, LED, and other hoops and props. Appearing as The Force, they seek to expand and transcend previous artistic structures, and invoke Spirit as their ultimate Source. Participants and spectators alike are moved by this energy. To be danced....to be drummed....one with the Force.
